Boy Injured as Drone Drops 24,000 Francs Over Zurich Park
A boy got hurt after a drone dropped lots of money in a park in Zurich. The police are checking what happened at Blatterwiese near China Garden. Some people are wondering why this event took place.
24,000 francs fell in Zurich park
On May 11 at 8pm, a drone with a bag of money flew over Blatterwiese near China Garden in Zurich. It’s a famous place for swimming and picnics. The drone was controlled by someone known as oraclecomicsswitzerland on social media. They said they would drop 24,000 francs in 10 franc notes for people to take.
Wearing a gold mask and black hoodie, the person tried to calm the crowd under the drone. One person said, “Someone with the mask from the video told us a drone was coming to drop money. Then money started falling.”
Money fall leads to rush and injury
When the money fell, there was chaos. Thousands of 10 franc notes caused a rush. One person said, “I’m glad I got out without getting hurt. I think someone broke their arm.” The police said a 12-year-old got hurt by a sharp object and went to the hospital in an ambulance. Judith Hödl from Zurich City Police said the drone and gathering didn’t have permission from the council. They are investigating if any drone rules were broken.
Why did so much money fall in Blatterwiese?
People are asking why this happened. The person behind it did two other things before: showing an “infinite power source” near Zurich HB and a woman lifting a big car. Then they dropped money near China Garden. These were all part of promoting a new comic book.
