Solidarity Rally in Zurich: Hundreds Gather to Support Israel

In a show of support for Israel, Zurich witnessed the gathering of hundreds of individuals on Tuesday evening. This solidarity rally, orchestrated by Zurich’s Jewish religious community, unfolded in the historic old town, paying homage to the victims and hostages affected by Hamas attacks in Israel. A broad coalition of Jewish organizations and other associations backed this event.

At 6:00 p.m., the bells of the Protestant Fraumünster church chimed, serving as a poignant symbol of solidarity with Israel. A quarter-hour later, the assembly commenced on the square opposite the church, where a multitude of Israeli flags waved alongside Swiss flags, carrying messages demanding an end to Hamas terrorism and the liberation of Gaza.

Prominent speakers, including Mario Fehr, the current president of the Canton of Zurich’s government, and Jacques Lande, the president of the Jewish Community of Zurich, addressed the gathering.
